Niagara
The first chapter of Momentum Choir was founded in the Niagara Region in 2007 with a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
Beginning with 10 members, Momentum Choir’s Niagara chapter now has over 80 members that annually perform sold-out shows at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre in St. Catharines and are a sought-after choir that has performed with internationally known performers as well as locally well-known performers such as Chorus Niagara and The Caverners.
Momentum Choir’s Niagara chapter has also performed for the Members of Parliament in the main rotunda of Parliament Hill in Ottawa and has traveled to Toronto to audition for Canada’s Got Talent.

Recognizing the success of Momentum Choir in the Niagara Region and the need for a similar program in the City of Hamilton, Momentum Choir’s Hamilton chapter was launched in 2019.
The number of choir members in the Hamilton chapter has grown to 25 and we continue to celebrate the skills and abilities of these members.
Momentum Choir’s Niagara and Hamilton chapters perform together at sold-out shows held at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre in St. Catharines and all other performance venues.

momentum without borders
Building on the access to Momentum Choir created through virtual practices that began during the Covid-19 pandemic, Momentum Without Borders is available nationally to all adults living with a disability in Canada.
Weekly practices are held using the online Zoom platform and are professionally led in a format similar to the in-person practices of the Niagara and Hamilton chapters.
